22 Weeks and Growing ;)

Yep 22 weeks a little over half way until baby McRae makes his debut. I am so excited and nervous at the same time!

I am going through these moods... not so much cravings... but one week I want spicy food and the next week I want fruit. Nothing crazy like pickles over ice cream and all that stuff.

It is pretty obvious that I am pregnant now... although someone did ask a friend over the weekend if I was gaining weight. She politely told them that I was stung by a very large bee! Ha Ha... I mean really? The only place that I have gained is in my belly... see for yourself! Oh and the other picture is of his foot!!!

... and it is a .......

So last Thursday was the day I had been looking forward to for months... pink or blue???

Aaron was scared as we drove to the doctors office and waited for my name to be called. Today was the day... was I having a girl or a boy... Aaron had been praying daily that it was a little boy. No take that back, he KNEW that it was a little boy. He swore everyday that he just knew that it was a boy... it couldn't be a girl.

For me, I would be happy with either...although I secretly wanted a little girl so Aaron would be wrong. I knew that if it was a boy that I would never hear the end of it. "I was right, I told you so, I am always right... blah, blah, blah"

They called us back and started the ultrasound... I could see Aaron out of the corner of my eye squinting, trying to make out what was on the screen. She was pointing out all the different anatomy except what we really wanted to know NOW! You could tell that Aaron was anxious and I was tired of her pushing on my belly because I thought for sure I would pee my pants. They had me drink 4 glasses of water before I came in because the baby had been so active on all of the other ultrasounds. The more water in my bladder the less room for the baby to move. But also the more likely that my bladder was going to release prematurely.

Must have had too much water because baby McRae was sleeping on it's belly with it's legs crossed... wasn't going to show what we wanted to. So she kept pushing and shaking my belly... I feel trouble coming... then I had to turn my head and cough to get the baby to move. Ta Da... roll over... and we have a boy... I could tell before she even said anything. The tears rolled down my face... I was so excited to finally know...at the same time I am telling Aaron to sit down since he is standing up cheering at this point...

A Little MR.... I am so excited... boys love their mommies! As we walk out of the doctors office.... I hear the beginning of "I told you so...." Which I calmly replied... if you don't want to explain to all your clients why you have a black eye I suggest you hush... I love pregnancy hormones!

almost half way there....

Whew... has time flown by... I am almost half way through my pregnancy and feeling great.

This has been such an amazing experience thus far, although at times an emotional roller-coaster, but worth every minute. We find out in two days whether we have a lil' boy or a lil' girl...

Aaron swears that it is a little boy... I will take either as long as they are healthy! Thought I am secretly wishing for a little girl just so Aaron isn't right... because I will never hear the end of it!

I am finally feeling better because I am not at that awkward stage... I finally look pregnant!
